I’m playing a Kuhnl and Hoyer for a variety of reasons. It’s a very comfortable horn. The ergonomics are very good. It’s very comfortable to play. It’s very easy to play. Another reason is the construction. All the parts line up squarely and evenly. It was well thought out before it was built. Plus, the bracing allows the horn to speak. The horn is consistent in all ranges. Also with all the valve combinations. The sound quality is the same. You do not have to make major adjustments to make the notes sound consistently.
Another reason is the rotors. They are very smooth and quiet. They are also larger, which helps the horn speak better when they are applied as opposed to other makes. They are also low maintenance and are easy to maintain.
Also, the Kuhnl and Hoyer does not need a lot of repairing. It is built to withstand the demand of being played regularly. It holds up well and can be counted on day after day.
