“Slokar becomes Solaris”—it calls in 2026 at Kühnl & Hoyer!
This name change is part of the strategic realignment of this trombone series and should emphasize the core 
element of these trombones, the asymmetrically curved tuning slide. Due to the special bend of the tuning bow, disturbance reflections are eliminated. This enables a very good high and an easy response. The trombones remain unchanged in their proven design – with the tonal quality, precision and reliability appreciating trombonists around the world.
The “Solaris”-Edition will be complemented by a new trombone model, the “Solaris FX” with open flow valve and brass slide. Next to the asymmetrically curved tuning slide, a feature of this instrument is the new rotary valve design. The “Solaris FX” impresses with a powerful and elegant tone at the same time.
