The new Bb/F/Gb/D-bass trombone “Orchestra bass”-traditional, built in compact (traditional) wrap, impresses especially by its appearance. The detachable bell with small rim as well as the elaborate snake ornaments are the optical characteristics of this German bass trombone. Also in the sonic range it is very close to the characteristics of a German bass trombone: a warm multi-faceted sound with great sound volume. The bass trombone “Orchestra bass”-traditional is currently used at the Staatstheater Nürnberg and is played there by Fabian Kerber, bass trombone player of the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg.
